Wild Shropshire by Mark Sisson
2012 Photographic Competition
Welcome to Wild Shropshire. It may not be the county that first springs to mind in terms of wildlife but there is a rich variety of habitat to be found here which ensures an equally rich diversity – if you know where to look.
Wild Shropshire is a celebration of the county’s wildlife and wild places. As well as highlighting the stunning photographic book and a full programme of exhibitions and talks, its aim is to encourage you to bring your own photographic insight of the county to the fore with a new photography competition.
You will also find regular updates on our blog with hints, tips and insights from Shropshire based wildlife photographer Mark Sisson. We hope you will be inspired to enjoy Wild Shropshire.
With 2012 being the 50th anniversary of the Shropshire Wildlife Trust, locally based wildlife photographer Mark Sisson has teamed up with the Trust to produce a stunning photographic coffee table book which celebrates the county’s wildlife and wild places. Over 180 pages of beautiful images bring to life the diversity of habitats and inhabitants of this large border county, and proceeds from the book will contribute to the Shropshire Wildlife Trust and its future work.
“This is the beauty of nature enhanced by human creativity. This is art!“
Bill Oddie Vice-President of The Wildlife Trust.
